Easy Text Formatting

We're happy to announce that Open Hardware Hub now allows basic HTML in all long textboxes! (If you're curious, these are the tags we support: a href, b, strong, br, p, i, em, ul, ol, li.) These formatting tags can be easily accessed from the new WYSIWYG text boxes we've added. If you've got javascript enabled (and you probably do) then you should be able to get up and running with adding simple text formatting to your project descriptions, step texts, and user bios.

Behind the Scenes Fixes

In addition to our snazzy html formatting support, we've been hard at work improving things behind the scenes. From allowing dots in user names and projects to validating step images before upload, we think these updates will make the Open Hardware Hub experience smoother and better for you. The new parts search is prettier and much easier to navigate with its larger part images and overall better presentation of the parts you've already added.
